The polyvalent EWYS-4Z cooling and heating unit, which runs on R513A, is designed for superior energy efficiency and reduced noise for industrial and commercial applications.
Daikin Europe has unveiled its new EWYS-4Z polyvalent unit, designed for industrial and commercial cooling and heating applications. This unit operates with R513A, a non-flammable blend with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of approximately 630.
Featuring Daikin's single-screw compressors with variable frequency drive and variable volume ratio, the unit is available in capacities ranging from 400kW to 800kW. A reduced noise option includes lower fan speeds and a soundproof compressor cabinet. Enhanced insulation and specialised connections minimise vibration transmission.
Key specifications include a total energy efficiency ratio of up to 7.89, operational temperatures from -18°C to +50°C, and water temperature ranges from -8°C to +20°C for chilled water and +30°C to +60°C for heating water. Equipped with two shell and tube heat exchangers, the unit can simultaneously provide cooling and heating without the need for seasonal changeover, adjusting independently to actual demand throughout the year.
