The IIR was deeply saddened to learn that Professor Branislav B. Todorović passed away on 30 December 2025, at the age of 94.
Professor Branislav B. Todorović was a renowned mechanical engineer and academic in the fields of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and building thermodynamics. A professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Belgrade, he devoted his career to teaching, research and development in thermodynamics.
An author of numerous scientific publications and former editor-in-chief of the journal Energy and Buildings, he also played an active role within the International Institute of Refrigeration. Professor Branislav B. Todorović was Vice President of the IIR's Executive Committee for two mandates.
The IIR would like to express its sincere gratitude for Prof. Todorović’s longstanding commitment to the refrigeration industry and the international scientific community. We also extend our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones and all those who had the privilege of working alongside him.
