Out of ordinary

Residents of Harbin, China, are not daunted by their long, cold winters. Instead they celebrate by holding the Harbin Snow and Ice Festival. Organized annually since 1985, the festival draws over a million tourists every winter. Teams of sculptors from many parts of the world compete to produce amazing works of art starting with 3 m² cubes of ice. At night, lighting turns the sculptures into a magical display.
