The National Gallery of Art in Washington DC has an ice-skating rink in its Art Sculpture Garden. Skaters can view sculpture as they skate, then go inside the museum and see paintings of ice skaters, including Gilbert Stuart's The Skater(Portrait of William Grant), 1782.
