A look back at the latest events in which the IIR participated.
AFCE symposium
The annual symposium of the AFCE (Alliance Froid Climatisation Environnement), a corporate member of the IIR, was held on September 29 in Paris and attracted a large audience.
Among the topics discussed were an update on the revision of the EU F-gas Regulation by Arno Kaschl, a presentation of the actions taken against the illegal trade of refrigerants by Marion Richard from the French Ministry of Ecological Transition as well as the presentation of the CITEPA report on the inventory of refrigerants in 2021 by Stéphanie Barrault.

Birmingham International Cold Chain Symposium
On 29 September, the University of Birmingham (UK) organised an international symposium on the cold chain for food and health products, in which the IIR participated. The event highlighted the ACES project in Rwanda, a cold storage service adapted to small farms, which was subsequently inaugurated in October in Kigali, and a new cooperation agreement was signed between the University of Birmingham and the State of Haryana (India).
ASHRAE seminar
ASHRAE organised a seminar on 10 and 11 October in Istanbul (Turkey), bringing together nearly a hundred participants from America, Asia and Europe on various issues considered important for the future: decarbonisation, climate, indoor air, cold chain. The IIR was in charge of organising the workshops on the cold chain and Judith Evans was the speaker on this subject.
Interclima 2022: The trade show on comfort and energy efficiency
As one of the regular trade shows on its agenda, the IIR participated in Interclima 2022; a trade show dedicated to comfort and energy efficiency.
This year, the event took place on October 3-6 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and welcomed over 1,700 exhibitors.
At the booth it shared with the AFF (French Refrigeration Association), the IIR greeted professionals active in the field of refrigeration from the building and construction sectors.

The first China Heat Pump Conference 2022
Co-sponsored by the IIR, the first China Heat Pump Conference (CHPC) was organised by the Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR) and took place on October 24-27, 2022, in Hangzhou (China).
Held under the theme ‘Focus on heat pump innovation to pursue low-carbon development’, the conference aimed to build a scientific and technological innovation platform for technology, production, education and research in the heat pump industry.
