A REAL Alternatives side meeting at the international MOP32 (Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol) was organised by the project partner ATF Italy on 25th November 2020, with speakers covering these important topics:
- The importance of training and certification
- EU F-gas revision, needs for training in alternative refrigerants
- REAL Alternatives training: what it is, how to join, advantages
- Good practice for Flammable Refrigerants
- Experiences of providing training and certification under REAL Alternatives across the EU
A recording of this webinar is available as a useful exploration of the current and future impact of this training initiative, which has been supported by trainers, associations, universities and bodies such as the IIR and continues to grow in take up and scope. The availability of free theory training and readily available consistent practical training programmes across the EU will help to support future revisions of environmental legislation and national policy. The overall aim of this project was to improve the safe and reliable take up of low GWP alternative refrigerants across the globe, based on the practical experience of trainers across Europe. You can listen to a recording of the talks on the home page of the www.realalternatives.eu website and find out more about how you can take the on line certified e-learning programme or contact your national training provider to organise practice training and assessment.
