Refrigerant news: RMC

Refrigerant Management Canada (RMC) is fighting ozone depletion and global warming on two fronts: by collecting and destroying CFC and HCFC refrigerants and by launching and managing a programme governing HFC refrigerants. As part of the latter, the levy on HCFCs was increased from CAD 1.50 to CAD 2.50 per kg as of June 1, 2010. RMC has collected and destroyed over 2 million kg of refrigerants over the 10-year period since it was set up. www.refrigerantmanagement.ca
