The 4th IIR Conference on Sustainability and the Cold Chain
Auckland (New Zealand) 7-9 April 2016

There’s something for everyone at ICCC2016 which will take place “down under” in Auckland, New Zealand, on 7 to 9 April 2016.

The fourth in this highly successful IIR conference series, ICCC2016 will spotlight cold chain refrigeration equipment; monitoring, evaluating and responding to conditions; and developments in sustainability. It will welcome an international audience of researchers and industrialists, bringing together all cold chain stakeholders.

Main topics covered will be food, pharmaceuticals and other applications to explore the latest developments and key technology trends.

Abstract submission ends 4 September 2015.

11th Phase-Change Materials & Slurries for Refrigeration & Air Conditioning

Karlsruhe (Germany) 18-20 May 2016

PCM 2016 will bring together scientists, researchers and people from industry working with phase change materials and slurries in order to discuss the latest developments in this field. As a platform for dynamic exchanges, the Scientific and Technical Program will focus on:

  • Thermophysical properties of Phase Change Materials (PCMs) and Slurries
  • Transport phenomena of PCMs and Slurries: mass, momentum and heat transfer
  • Time-dependent behaviour of PCMs and Slurries
  • Direct contact heat exchange

Abstract submission ends 1 November 2015.

1st International IIR Conference of Cryogenics and Refrigeration Technology

Bucharest (Romania) 22-26 June 2016

ICCRT 2016 in Bucharest aims to be a place where students, academics and researchers have the opportunity to meet and discuss important technical issues in the cryogenics and refrigeration areas, for the benefit of all attendees.

A newcomer, ICCRT is complementary to the biennial IIR Cryogenics series which alternates between Prague and Dresden. It offers attendees the possibility to share research ideas and exchange knowledge and practices based on the participants’ experience in Cryogenic and Refrigeration technologies, and the applicability of these topics within several industrial sectors, such as: Air separation units, Helium Recovery and Liquefaction plants, Industrial Heat Transfer processes.

Abstract submission ends 1 October 2015.

12th IIR-Gustav Lorentzen Conference on Natural Refrigerants

Edinburgh (Scotland), 21-24 August 2016

GL2016 will attract an international audience of researchers and industrialists and will address critical issues for our future. Researchers, innovators, early adopters, experienced practitioners and those facing new challenges for the first time will share knowledge and recent advances.

This major conference will take place at Edinburgh Conference Centre, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland on 21 to 24 August 2016.

Organized by The Institute of Refrigeration (IoR), a call for abstracts is open until 1 October 2015.

Refrigeration trade fairs

The IIR will also be present at several international trade fairs starting with Interprofessional Refrigeration and its Applications Trade Show (SIFA), a major event dedicated to all refrigeration players: manufacturers, installers, final users, expertise, OEM... taking place every two years in Paris. This year the event will be held from 13 to 15 October.

Next you can visit us in Perth, Australia at LNG18 on 11 to 15 April 2016 where we’ll have a stand.

About IIR events

At the IIR, we provide the right forum for authors and speakers to present their work at numerous annual conferences.

The IIR organizes and co-sponsors over 12 annual conferences and meetings worldwide.

We are also highly involved in the technical program development of numerous events including trade events, training workshops, and other programs.

A chance to network

These events provide conference delegates with networking and interaction opportunities through IIR commission and working group meetings as well as workshops on research projects.

Conference papers & referencing

The IIR produces cutting-edge conference publications in various refrigeration technology areas recognized worldwide by academia and industry. Articles submitted for publication follow a paper selection process and are peer-reviewed before they are published.

Not only are they published in the IIR’s database, FRIDOC, but they are referenced internationally in Scopus and Web of Science
