Student Competition at Conference on the Application of HFO Refrigerants

New Student Award Announced at IIR Conference on the Application of HFO Refrigerants

The organising committee of the IIR International Conference on the Application of HFO Refrigerants is delighted to announce the introduction of an award for the best paper by a student author at the 2018 event.

The prize fund of £1000, donated by the Shrieve Chemical Company, will be shared between the three most impressive papers submitted by a student author. The prizes will be awarded during the conference, which will take place at Austin Court, Birmingham, UK on the 2nd-5th September 2018.

“There are many fantastic young students involved in our industry and we hope this award will encourage them to participate in this major international conference. It is a great opportunity to showcase their research and start developing a network of international contacts”, explains Andy Pearson, chairman of the conference organising committee.

The Award is open students, undergraduate or post graduate, who will be registered with an educational centre on the 1st June 2018. Full details of the award and information on how to submit an abstract can be found at https://www.ior.org.uk/hfo2018. 


The deadline for abstracts is 1st December 2017.
