Funded by Framework Programme 7 (FP7), the 3-years project began in January 2014 and will end in December 2016. It’s main objective is to further collaboration between SMEs, global appliance manufacturers; and to draw on the expertise found in universities and research centres.

The ELICiT project focuses on the application of magnetic cooling technology in domestic refrigeration appliances.
Funded by Framework Programme 7 (FP7), the 3-years project began in January 2014 and will end in December 2016. It’s main objective is to further collaboration between SMEs, global appliance manufacturers; and to draw on the expertise found in universities and research centres.
The IIR project deliverables include the standardization work package and the communication and dissemination work package:
- Involving the IIR Magnetic Refrigeration Working Group in the finalization of standards developed by the ELICiT consortium
- Creating and updating the ELICiT website
- Editing and publishing the yearly ELICiT newsletter and communication supports
- Facilitating the publication of academic papers in the International Journal of Refrigeration (IJR)
- Facilitating the publication of news in technical journals and newspapers
- Disseminating ELICiT news through the IIR website, newsletters, email alerts, and social media (LinkedIn and Twitter)
- Organizing and facilitating ELICiT workshops during IIR conferences
- Promoting the project at trade exhibitions and conferences using communication supports
- Creating and disseminating a final outcome report of the project
