Training and courses in all fields of refrigeration



In line with its core mission to further and share knowledge on refrigeration technologies and applications, the IIR is proud to present the new section on its website dedicated to training and courses.


The new section, adapted to all knowledge levels and covering a broad range of fields in refrigeration, will provide easy access to training material and courses to all, worldwide.

The IIR has taken care to provide you with an exclusive selection of digital training and course material on the main themes of HVACR, including a section dedicated to certification courses from reputable international organisations and companies in several different languages.



Courses covering a wide spectrum of fields


During special training sessions or conferences, the IIR prepares or publishes courses in many fields of refrigeration.

With the aim of providing you with the widest possible base of viable materials, courses from other organisations such as the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and REAL Alternatives for LIFE are also available.

These courses, listed and classified by theme, currently include:

  • Overview of refrigeration
  • Refrigerants
  • Air conditioning
  • Cold chain
  • Heat pumps
  • Thermodynamics and transfer process



Training opportunities and certification courses


With increasing regulation and tightening standards on national and international levels, certification is a key factor of ensuring safety within the refrigeration industry, as well as outside. As such, the IIR has provided a directory of certification courses in various fields of refrigeration.

These certification courses are delivered by IIR partners such as Centro Studi Galileo, ISHRAE and Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, as well as other organisations including AREA and Shecco.


Fostering knowledge enrichment and the sharing of expertise, whether you are an experienced professional or relatively new to the field, this new IIR section will provide you with diverse training and courses material adapted to your individual needs.
