Résumé

Strawberry cv. Nyoho receptacles were sprayed after petal fall with calcium chelate. The calcium solution was sprayed once a week 2 or 4 times, with a wetting agent. Controls were sprayed with water. Harvested fruits were stored at 0 °C for 3 weeks, either in 8-15% CO2 or in air, and then transferred to 20 °C for 2 days. After this time, fruits in the elevated CO2 storage treatment which had been treated with calcium 4 times showed higher fruit firmness and ascorbic acid content than the control fruits. Development of grey mold was inhibited by calcium treatment alone or in combination.
