The ECLAIR (European Collaborative Linkage of Agriculture and Industry through Research) Programme was specifically set up to apply new technologies such as biotechnology and information science to the agriculture and fisheries business sectors through the format of shared cost European co-operative research projects. Themes: crops and trees for non-food uses; crop adaptation and food processing; animal health and aquaculture; biological pest control.
