Résumé

Fruits of Zizyphus mauritiana cv. Kaithli were harvested with or without the pedicel attached and were stored at room temperature (25 deg C plus or less 5 deg C). During storage, non-significant differences occurred in total soluble solids, acidity and ascorbic acid contents of fruits with and without the pedicel. However, when stored for six days, fruits with an attached pedicel had a significantly less weight loss than those without a pedicel (23 and 40% respectively) and fruits with pedicels ripened to a lesser extent.
