Résumé

Freshly harvested pomegranate 'Ganesh' fruits were subjected to treatments of waxol (12%), calcium chloride (2, 4 and 6%), waxol (12%) coupled with calcium chloride (2, 4 and 6%) and waxol (12%) coupled with calcium chloride (2, 4 and 6%) alongwith carbendazim (0.1%). The treated fruits and untreated lot (control) were kept at room temperature (9.5 to 36 °C with 22.00 to 93.00% relative humidity) and under cold storage (8.0 °C with 85.00 to 95.00% RH). Results indicated that the fruits treated with waxol 12% + calcium chloride 4% + carbendazim (0.1%) could be kept up to 102 days under cold storage as against 35 days at room temperature. Data on shelf life, organoleptic evaluation, physiological weight loss and rotting (%) indicated that cold storage might be ideal for maintaining the quality in domestic as well as export market acceptability of pomegranate fruit.
