Résumé

This 85th Annual Meeting of the NCWM was held July 16-20, 2000, in Richmond, VA, USA. The theme of the meeting was "Basic standards - Building the foundation for a new millennium." Reports by the Standing and Special Purpose Committees of the Conference constitute the major portion of this publication, along with the addresses delivered by Conference officials and other authorities from government and industry. Topics include: report of the Laws and Regulations Committee (weights and measures law; packaging and labelling regulations; method of sale of commodities regulation); report of the Committee on Specifications and Tolerances (vehicle-tank meters: recognition of temperature compensation; cryogenic liquid measuring devices: recognition of LNG application); report of the Committee on Administration and Public Affairs; report of the National Type Evaluation Program Committee.
