Résumé

This 83rd Annual Meeting of the NCWM was held July 12-16, 1998, in Portland, Oregon, USA. The theme of the meeting was "Working together for equity." Reports by the Standing and Annual Committees of the Conference constitute the major portion of this publication, along with the addresses delivered by Conference officials and other authorities from government and industry. Topics include: report of the Law and Regulations Committee (packaging and labelling regulations; revisions to test procedures: frozen shrimp and crabmeat; moisture loss for meat and poultry products; LPG packaged in cylinders); report of the Committee on Specification and Tolerances (liquid-measuring devices code: LPG and anhydrous ammonia, CO2; mass flow meters code); report of the Committee on Administration and Public Affairs: education.
