Résumé

This 84th Annual Meeting of the NCWM was held July 25-29, 1999, in Burlington, Vermont, USA. The theme of the meeting was "Setting standards of excellence in pursuit of equity." Reports by the Standing and Annual Committees of the Conference constitute the major portion of this publication, along with the addresses delivered by Conference officials and other authorities from government and industry. Topics include: report of the Law and Regulations Committee (weights and measures law; packaging and labelling regulations; method of sale of commodities regulation, i.e. frozen and canned clams; uniform regulation for national type evaluation; interpretations and guidelines, i.e. labelling meat and poultry broths); report of the Committee on Specifications and Tolerances (belt-conveyor scale systems; liquid-measuring devices code; vehicle-tank meters code; cryogenic liquid-measuring devices: LNG application; mass flow meters code); report of the Committee on Administration and Public Affairs: Program management; education; public affairs.
