Résumé

Shrimp samples with and without carapace analysis revealed the presence of marine vibrios including Vibrio alginolyticus and Vibrio parahaemolyticus. Samples with and without carapaces were heated before inoculating with cells of V. cholerae and then half of the samples was stored frozen at -20 °C and the other half was heated to boiling temperatures. Viable cell counts were then performed. Carapace is a good protection for frozen shrimps. Boiling ensures total destruction with or without carapace.
