Submit your abstract!
With the increasing need for global warming countermeasures, natural working fluids have become a clear vector to reducing the CO2 footprint of the refrigeration, and heating and cooling sectors and migrating towards long-term sustainable solutions. The IIR-Gustav Lorentzen conference series contributes to bringing forward solutions compliant with the phase-down prescribed by the Kigali amendment to the Montreal Protocol, exploring innovations based on natural working fluids for applications within refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pumps and heat engines.
Scheduled to take place on August 23-26, 2026 at the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand, the 17th IIR-Gustav Lorentzen Conference on Natural Refrigerants (GL 2026) will provide the ideal platform for discussing the latest research results and development of alternative natural refrigerants. The edition will revolve around the following theme: “Advancing heat pumps and net-zero carbon energy with natural refrigerants”
