Summary
The European Commission has adopted a directive that will make it compulsory, as of 2003, for air conditioners to display clear labelling of their energy efficiency, using a classification scale ranging from A to G. For the time being, this only concerns water-water or water-air systems driven by electricity with refrigerating capacities that do not exceed 12 kW.
