A centrifugal adsorption heat pump.

Author(s) : RIFFAT S. B., SU Y. H.

Summary

A centrifugal drier was employed to generate wet adsorbent and environmentally-friendly adsorption working pairs (e.g. zeolite/water and silica gel/water) may be employed. This system may be an alternative to conventional vapour-compression systems. The coefficient of performance is discussed. With recovery of kinetic energy, the cycle investigated has a COP equivalent to that of vapour-compression systems.
