A COMPUTER SIMULATION METHOD FOR DESCRIBING TWO-PHASE FLASHING FLOW IN SMALL DIAMETER TUBES.

Author(s) : GOLDSTEIN S. D.

Summary

THIS PAPER DESCRIBES THE RELATIONSHIPS AND LOGIC FLOW FOR CONSTRUCTING A COMPUTER MODEL OF LIQUID OR TWO-PHASE REFRIGERANT FLOW IN A SMALL DIAMETER, OR CAPILLARY TUBE. CORRECTION FACTORS FOR COMPRESSIBILITY EFFECTS NEAR SONIC CONDITIONS ARE INCLUDED IN THE ANALYSIS. CONVERGENCE VARIABLES AND METHODOLOGY ARE PRESENTED AS THEY RELATE TO MODELLING OF CLOSED LOOP THERMODYNAMIC SYSTEMS.
