Summary

The paper describes a pre-production continuous freeze-drier which was tested. One of the major elements of the drum freeze-drier is a erforated cylinder. The raw material capacity of the equipment is 1.5 to 3 kg/h. The interaction between the different factors which affect freeze-drying are analysed with the help of statistical methods. The results are used to optimize the process. C.C.
