Summary
PREVIOUS PREDICTIONS OF CRITICAL HEAT FLUX WITH TWISTED-TAPE SWIRL GENERATORS HAVE IGNORED THE FACT THAT, BECAUSE THE LIQUID FILM FLOW RATE IS INCREASED, THE ONSET OF CRITICAL HEAT FLUX MAY BE DELAYED. THE PRESENT PAPER REPORTS A NEW CORRELATION WHICH ENABLES PREDICTIONS TO BE MADE OVER A WIDER RANGE OF FLOW CONDITIONS. D.W.H.
