Summary

A CORRELATING TECHNIQUE FOR THE MINIMUM HEAT FLUX POINT CONDITIONS IN SATURATED POOL BOILING IS PRESENTED USING THE PUBLISHED DATA AND THE DATA OBTAINED IN THIS REPORT. SINCE THE SUPERHEATS AT THE MINIMUM HEAT FLUX POINT ARE INDEPENDENT OF HEATER GEOMETRY, LIQUID VELOCITY AND TEMPERATURE TRANSIENT, THE TEMPERATURE-CONTROL APPROACH PROVIDES A GOOD CORRELATION OF THE MINIMUM HEAT FLUX POINT CONDITION.
