Summary

BUILDINGS FREELY AIR-CONDITIONED ARE SO CALLED WHEN THEY ARE NOTEQUIPPED WITH AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEMS BUT WITH VENTILATING SYSTEMS. TO BE ABLE TO DESIGN THE NECESSARY SUMMER-TIME HEAT INSULATION AND VENTILATING SYSTEMS, THE ROOM AIR TEMPERATURE NEEDS TO BE CALCULATED WHICH DEVELOPS INSIDE THE BUILDING UNDER EXTREME SUMMER WEATHER CONDITIONS. TO DO SO, A GENERAL PROCEDURE IS PRESENTED. IT IS APPLICABLE INDEPENDENT OF THE CLIMATE ZONE AND TO ALL TYPES OF BUILDINGS. THE REQUIRED FLEXIBILITY OF HEAT INSULATION AND VENTILATION IS DISCUSSED.
