THIS PAPER ADDRESSES THE PROBLEM OF MOTOR DESIGN REQUIREMENTS FOR AN IMPROVED SEASONAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY RATIO (SEER) FOR AIR CONDITIONING/HEAT PUMP COMPRESSOR APPLICATIONS.
