A measurement of velocity fields in a floor heating room for validation of CFD.

Number: pap. n. 659

Author(s) : OKAZAKI S., SAKAI K., ONO H., et al.

Summary

The data of the measurement result has been accumulated by using full-scale floor heating model aiming at the improvement of the predictive validation of CFD in the natural convection field. Data is not yet maintained for the wind velocity distribution though detailed temperature distribution was grasped by the study in the past. Then, a detailed measurement of the velocity of the wind in full-scale floor heating model was done in this study. The current of air properties in the model were grasped from the measurement result. Next, the CFD analysis that considered the measurement result was done for the model. When the measurement value was compared with an analytical value, the tendency to which both temperature distribution and the wind velocity distribution were roughly corresponding was seen.
