Summary

A general formula for the overall efficiency of a system in terms of the efficiencies of its components is used to optimize the flowsheet of an absorption heat pump. The authors demonstrate that the exergetic efficiency diagram vs load (the portion of energy input) gives a general approach for treating any process.
