A model for heat and mass transfer simulation between the man skin and the environment.

Author(s) : LEBLOND J.

Summary

The model can be used to calculate the heat and mass transfer through a surface element of a garment in presence of the sweat secretion under hot external conditions. It has been successfully validated using the measurements of heat and mass transfers accomplished on the skin model by the Industrie Textile de France on a piece of garment composed of two fabrics. This code is useful to analyze the complex effects produced by the sweat secretion in a garment.
