Summary

A NEW METHOD BASED ON BROYDEN'S QUASI-NEWTON APPROACH HAS BEEN UTILISED FOR THE PRESENT STUDY. SOAVE'S EQUATION OF STATE FORMS THE BASIS FOR FUGACITY EVALUATIONS. THE METHOD DEVELOPED IS CAPABLE OF PREDICTING PHASE EQUILIBRIUM ENVELOPE FOR BINARY AND MULTICOMPONENT SYSTEMS COVERING CRITICAL POINT RETROGRADE REGION. THE SOAVE'S EQUATION OF STATE WITHOUT ANY BINARY INTERACTION PARAMETERS IS FOUND TO BE ADEQUATE FOR NATURAL GAS SYSTEMS.
