A NEW SENSOR FOR MEASURING LOW AIR VELOCITIES.

Summary

REFERS TO RESEARCH WHICH SHOWS THAT MANY PEOPLE ARE SENSITIVE TO DRAUGHTS EVEN AT AIR VELOCITIES IN RANGE 0.1-0.2 M/S. THE SENSATION OF DRAUGHT IS RELATED NOT ONLY TO THE MEAN AIR VELOCITY BUT ALSO TO TURBULENCE. DESCRIBES IN SOME DETAIL A NEWLY DEVELOPED AIR VELOCITY TRANSDUCER CAPABLE OF MEASURING THE LOW AIR VELOCITIES AND TURBULENCE FLUCTUATIONS. DISCUSSES THE INFLUENCE ON THE MEASURED AIR VELOCITY OF DIRECTIONAL SENSITIVITY, THERMAL RADIATION, AIR PRESSURE, HUMIDITY AND NATURAL CONVECTION.
