Type of article: Article

Summary

A DESCRIPTION IS GIVEN OF AN EXPERIMENTAL UNIT COMPRISING A HORIZONTAL ROTATION AXIS HELIUM CRYOSTAT (ABOUT 1,000/S ROTATING SPEED) WHICH PERMITS THE MECHANICAL, THERMOPHYSICAL AND HYDRAULIC PROCESSES IN CRYOGENIC SUPERCONDUCTING GENERATOR ROTORS TO BE SIMULATED. THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA ON NITROGEN AND HELIUM EVAPORATION RATES AT DIFFERENT ROTATIONAL SPEEDS ARE CONSIDERED.
