Summary

MEDICAL AND FOOD PRODUCTS WILL LAST LONGER IF THEY ARE STORED AT LOW TEMPERATURE IN WELL INSULATED ROOMS. IN THE PAST, THERMAL INSULATION OF THESE COLD ROOMS HAS NOT RECEIVED SUFFICIENT ATTENTION AND IMPORTANCE, RESULTING IN DETERIORATION OF MEDICAL AND FOOD PRODUCTS IN VARYING DEGREES. A SCIENTIFICALLY ENGINEERED SYSTEM FOR INSULATION OF THESE COLD ROOMS HAS BEEN DESCRIBED, BEARING IN MIND THE VARIOUS DUTIES WHICH THE INSULATION SYSTEM HAS TO PERFORM. SKETCHES SHOWING TYPICAL INSULATION SYSTEMS ARE ALSO GIVEN. RECOMMENDED STORAGE TEMPERATURES OF A SELECTED GROUP OF FOOD AND MEDICAL PRODUCTS ARE GIVEN.
