Summary
THE PAPER GIVES SOME EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS. A MINIMUM TEMPERATURE OF 42 K WAS ACHIEVED WITH A SINGLE STAGE DOUBLE INLET PULSE TUBE REFRIGERATOR AT A FREQUENCY OF 7 HERTZ AND AN AVERAGE PRESSURE OF 1.1 MEGAPASCAL, WHEREAS THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE ACHIEVED WITH A CORRESPONDING ORIFICE PULSE TUBE REFRIGERATOR WHICH WAS OF THE SAME SIZE AND OPERATED AT THE SAME CONDITIONS WAS AS HIGH AS 55 K. THE INFLUENCES OF DIFFERENT GAS DISTRIBUTORS AND OTHER PARAMETERS ON THENO-LOAD TEMPERATURE OF THE PULSE TUBE ARE PRESENTED.
