Summary

Stirling coolers have already been put to practical use in such specific areas as the production of semiconductors and the cooling of sensors which require ultra-low temperatures of less than 73 K. In recent years, Stirling coolers are also much suitable for use at very low temperatures from 73 to 193 K, so that they are developed for the purpose of applying in the fields of refrigeration and air conditioning, for example a ultra-low temperature freezer, domestic refrigerator and room air conditioner.
