Summary

The active development of ice slurry technology began more than 25 years ago. Despite its many advantages, it is not widespread yet. One of the significant constraints is the imperfection of the most common scraper-type ice slurry crystallizers. The solution is to develop crystallizers that use other methods of separation the ice from the heat transfer surface instead of using mechanically
moving parts. One of the promising ways is electric heating. An experimental study of the process of obtaining ice slurry by electric heating is carried out. The influence of the solution flow parameters and the electric heating parameters on the process of continuous formation of an ice sludge is studied. The results obtained are necessary for determining the mode of operation in the
design of a new type of crystallizers.
