Summary

THE FEATURES OF SOLIDIFICATION OF LIQUID ARGON AND METHANE IN A CYLINDRICAL VESSEL CONTAINING A LIQUID NITROGEN-COOLED SURFACE IN THE CENTRE WERE STUDIED EXPERIMENTALLY. A MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF THE SOLIDIFICATION PROCESS IS PROPOSED. ANALYTICAL FORMULAE ARE OBTAINED FOR CALCULATING THE COMPLETE CRYOLIQUID SOLIDIFICATION TIME, THE CRYOLIQUID CRYSTALLIZATION FRONT DYNAMICS AND THE DENSITY OF A POROUS STRUCTURE FORMING.
