Summary

DESCRIBES EXPERIMENTS TO STUDY THE EFFECTS OF CHANGES IN OPERATING CONDITIONS TO OPTIMISE THE PERFORMANCE OF A WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE ABSORPTION COOLER. FINDS THE MOST SIGNIFICANT PARAMETER IS THE GENERATOR TEMPERATURE. THE HIGHER THE GENERATOR TEMPERATURE, THE HIGHER THE COP. THE FLOW RATIO IS ALSO AN IMPORTANT DESIGN PARAMETER. AN INCREASE IN THE FLOW RATIO REDUCES THE REQUIRED GENERATOR TEMPERATURE AT THE EXPENSE OF A REDUCTION IN THE COP. (INT. BUILD. SERV. ABSTR., GB., 21, N 4, 1986, 14, 86-01157.
