Summary

A REPORT ON THE EXPERIMENTAL PERFORMANCE OF A PROTOTYPE HEAT PUMP OF 1.8 KILOWATT CAPACITY EQUIPPED WITH AN INVERTER. RECORDINGS WERE MADE OF THE EFFECT OF VARYING VARIOUS PARAMETERS INCLUDING THE HEAT SOURCE, EVAPORATING TEMPERATURE, INVERTER FREQUENCY, FLOW RATES OF THE CONDENSER AND EVAPORATOR, ETC, ON THE SPACE HEATING POWER AND OVERALL COP. A SIMULATION METHOD WAS DEVELOPED AND THE SPACE HEATING POWER ANDOVERALL COP. A SIMULATION METHOD WAS DEVELOPED AND THE RESULTS ARE PRESENTED. A PROPOSAL IS PUT FORWARD FOR THIS HIGH EFFICIENCY HEAT PUMP SYSTEM.
