A theoretical study of an energy recovery system consisting of an adiabatic humidifier coupled with an air-to-air heat exchanger.

Summary

The thermal behaviour of a recovery system consisting of an adiabatic humidifier coupled with an air-to-air heat exchanger has been studied and compared to the one of a single recovery exchanger through a numerical simulation. The study has been carried out with reference to different conditions of the outside air and different air flows. The results achieved lead one to assert that the treatments proposed, and thus the recovery equipment discussed, can be considered as a reliable solution, sometimes better than by using a traditional recovery equipment.
