IIR document

About possibility to use matrix heat exchangers in cryogenic and refrigeration plants.

Summary

The contruction of new type of the matrix heat exchanger is presented. Experiments were carried on an helium liquefier with capacity of about 50 liters per hour. The experimental data for heat transfer determination in conditions of forced convection and boiling in the matrix channels are presented. The different factors having positive influence on vaporization process and two-phase flow in the matrix heat exchanger construction are analyzed.
