About the possibility of applying a “free cooling” regime in central Russia.

Summary
The paper examines the application of natural cooling regimes («free cooling») during winter in the air-conditioning systems with heat recovery from heat utilizers, using a rotative rotor for public buildings under western European conditions. The formation of the operating regime of air-conditioning systems identical to those used in Russia is given. Using a «free cooling» regime in the case of heat-surplus removal from the internal zone in modern offices or public buildings was shown to be unsuitable, since it leads to large heat emissions into the atmosphere. The authors mainly offer a new energy-saving method of cold production and heat surplus removal, the method was applied in «Solnechny ray» shopping mall.
