Type of article: Article
Summary
The authors localize cesium atoms in wavelenght-sized potential wells of an optical lattice, and cool them to a three-dimensional temperature of 700 nanoK by adiabatic expansion. These are the lowest three-dimensional kinetic temperatures ever measured.
