Summary

THE PRINCIPLE USED IS THAT OF AIR COOLING BY WATER EVAPORATION IN A WASHER. THE ADJUSTMENT TO HOT HUMID CLIMATES CONSISTS IN FIRST DEHUMIDIFYING THE AIR TO BE TREATED ON A SOLID ADSORBENT BED WHICH IS REGENERATED BY SOLAR ENERGY. THE STUDY INCLUDED THE DEVELOPMENT OF FLOW DIAGRAMS, A COMPUTER SIMULATION OF OPERATION, THE THEORETICAL AND TEST STUDY OF ADSORBENTS UNDER DYNAMIC CONDITIONS AND THE DEFINITION, BUILDING AND TESTING OF A SCALED-DOWN PILOT PLANT.
