Summary
A detailed instrumentation of a commercial reciprocating compressor for household refrigerators has been developed to determine the average temperature distribution on the surface and the gas at different strategic points in all the compressor zones. The work is focused on presenting a parametric study of a concrete compressor by means of the numerical simulation model, together with a detailed experimental comparison. The objective is to demonstrate the possibilities offered by these models.
