Summary
A NEW TWIN-CYLINDER HERMETIC COMPRESSOR WITH A DOUBLE-ACTING PISTON AND A SPEED OF 2,900 RPM IS PRESENTED. THE PISTON IS DRIVEN BY A CRANKSHAFT PASSING THROUGH THE PISTON AND BY A CONNECTING ROD INSIDE THE PISTON. SUCH A STRUCTURE IS VERY COMPACT AND ENABLES ONE TO USE A CYLINDRICAL CASING WITH A SIZE NOT GREATER THAN THAT OF OTHER TWIN CYLINDER COMPRESSORS OF SIMILAR CAPACITY BUT EQUIPPED WITH AN OVAL CASING.
