AIR-CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT FOR PASSENGER COACHES HAS THE SAME TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS AS SYSTEMS USED IN BUILDINGS. HOWEVER, THIS EQUIPMENT VARIES IN MANY ASPECTS, BEING SUBJECTED TO DIFFERING AND SEVERER CONDITIONS, SUCH AS IMPACT LOADS, LACK OF SPACE, WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS, FREQUENT INTERRUPTION OF THE ENERGY SUPPLY, 4 SINGLE-PHASE HIGH VOLTAGES ANDMANY PEOPLE IN CONFINED SPACES. PRESENT SOLUTIONS FOR RESOLVING THESE PROBLEMS ARE DISCUSSED WITH PARTICULAR EMPHASIS PLACED ON ILLUSTRATING THE ICE TRAILER CAR CONFIGURATION.
