AIR CONDITIONING OF A HARD GELATIN CAPSULE PLANT.

Author(s) : SULE S. M.

Summary

IT IS CUSTOMARY TO MAINTAIN UNIFORM DRY BULB (DB) TEMPERATURE AND RELATIVE HUMIDITY IN THE CAPSULE MAKING AREA. EXPERIMENTS HOWEVER INDICATE THAT CAPSULES OF SUPERIOR QUALITY ARE OBTAINED BY ZONING OF THE AREA. DB TEMPERATURE IS CRITICAL IN THE AREA WHERE CAPSULES ARE MOULDED. THE OTHER IMPORTANT ZONE IS THE KILNS WHERE THE CAPSULES ARE DRIED. THE ANALYSIS OF THESE CRITICAL ASPECTS FORMS THE BASIS OF AN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM DESIGN FOR CAPSULE MANUFACTURE.
